At Munich Airport, a section of Terminal 1 had to be cleared and temporarily closed on Saturday morning. According to the federal police, the reason for this was that the explosives alarm was triggered during the security check in area A.

For security reasons, the federal police ordered the terminal area to be temporarily closed. The travelers had to leave the terminal building. The alarm went off around 9:50 a.m., according to the executive.

The piece of hand luggage that could be assigned to a passenger was then examined by experts from the Federal Police. A specially trained sniffer dog was also deployed. During the official action, the owner of the suitcase was placed under the surveillance of the executive branch.

After an extensive investigation under heavy security precautions, the federal police were able to give the all-clear. No explosives or other explosive materials were found in the passenger's luggage. It is unclear what caused the scanners to have a positive impact.
