After almost two years of lockdown, Myanmar is reopening to vaccinated tourists. However, they cannot enter the country without being in quarantine, because a one-week isolation has to be started. This should mean that this destination is not particularly popular with holidaymakers.

With effect from April 17, 2022, Myanmar also wants to reactivate international air traffic. Apart from a few exceptions, this was suspended due to the corona pandemic, among other things. In March 2020, the military took power. This also led to additional isolation.

Only fully vaccinated persons are allowed to enter Myanmar. They must submit appropriate proof and then go into a one-week quarantine. During these two PCR tests must be completed at your own expense. You can only leave the isolation seven days after entering the country, provided that the second test is negative.
