The situation seems to be getting worse. The Austrian government is therefore also tightening its entry requirements and tightening the reins. In principle, a 2,5 G certificate must be presented at the borders with immediate effect.
Antigen and antibody tests lose their validity - with a few exceptions. Because the 3-G rule still applies to commuters (job, school, university, family purposes, life partner). That goes from the changed Entry regulation emerged. As throughout Austria, the period of validity of the vaccination certificate will be shortened from one year to nine months. There is a transition period until December 19th for this adjustment to the third Covid-6 Measures Ordinance.
Commuters also have to accept some cuts: the previously privileged duration of PCR tests has been shortened from seven days to 72 hours. In the future, antigen tests will only be valid for 24 instead of 48 hours. The “ninja pass” for students is an exception for entry.
