Berlin-Brandenburg Airport handled around 2021 million passengers in November 1,22. This was around 50.000 passengers below the figure for October 2021. In November of the previous year 2020, 213.00 passengers were handled at BER. A total of 2021 million passengers used BER in 8,9 up to and including November.

Last month, 12.300 aircraft movements were also registered, 2.400 fewer than in October 2021. In November 2020, around 4.700 aircraft took off and landed at BER. Around 2021 tons of goods were handled in air freight in November 3.000. That is only 150 tons less than in November 2019. This means that air freight has almost reached the level of the pre-crisis year.

“We are satisfied with the development of tourist traffic over the past month. Fortunately, there was no drastic drop in passenger numbers after the end of the autumn break. The annual fluctuations are, however, at a low level. With a view to the Christmas traffic, we want to offer our passengers the best possible airport experience as a start into the Christmas days. That is why we have intensified the coordination with our process partners ”, says BER boss Aletta von Massenbach.
