The airline Qantas announced on Thursday that five Airbus A2022s will be reactivated from July 380. These are to be used on the routes from Sydney to Los Angeles and London.

The US connection is expected to kick off in July 2022. The British capital will be served with super jumbos again from November 2022. For technical reasons, a stopover will be made in Singapore.

At the same time, the carrier also confirmed that two of the total of 12 Airbus A380s will finally be phased out. All other machines of this type should be back in active liner service by 2024 at the latest. Before that, they should be given a cabin upgrade.
