New Zealand's national airline must now temporarily stop sales so that there are enough places available in the quarantine centers.

New Zealand is now temporarily restricting international air traffic and has also ordered a short-term booking stop at Air New Zealand. The background to this is that the government wants to ensure that adequate isolation and quarantine capacities are available for all citizens returning to New Zealand. The borders remain closed. Currently only citizens and residents of the island state can enter.

The government is attempting to stop the corona virus at the border with tough quarantine regulations. A total of 2020 isolation centers have been set up for this purpose since March 28. Everyone who enters the country must go through one. However, foreigners are currently not allowed to enter the island nation unless they have a primary residence in New Zealand.
