So far, the “Brexit carrier” Ryanair UK has only had a shadowy existence because the Irish company has only used it to a very subordinate extent. That will change on January 1, 2021, because the UK branch will take over all flights within the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, Ryanair UK will serve all routes from the UK to countries that do not belong to the European Union. There are a few exceptions, because the machines will occasionally also be used in traffic between the island state and Union countries.

CH-Aviation.com reports that the bases Liverpool, Luton, Stansted and Manchester will hand over routes to Montenegro, Morocco and Ukraine to Ryanair UK. Belfast-Edinburgh and Londonerry-Liverpool, among others, are affected within the country. Unless otherwise agreed between the EU and the United Kingdom, EU carriers will no longer be allowed to fly within the UK from January 1, 2021. Conversely, their carriers are no longer allowed to fly within the Union area from this point in time.

In order to protect themselves against the consequences of Brexit, several airlines have founded new offshoots. For example, Easyjet started Easyjet Europe in Austria. Ryanair founded Ryanair UK in the United Kingdom and Wizzair launched Wizzair UK. All start-ups have long had AOC and operating licenses and have been in regular use for a long time. Only Ryanair UK has so far been in the air to a very minor extent.
