In October of the previous year, SAS took over the first Airbus A321LR with SE-DMO, but so far the machine has not been used in transatlantic traffic. The company has now announced a specific start date: September 1, 2021.
The narrowbody will then commute between Copenhagen and Boston three times a week. So far, only a few test flights without passengers have been carried out over Scandinavia. The carrier expects the delivery of two more identical aircraft towards the end of October 2021. SAS justifies the delayed start of A321LR operations with the low demand due to the corona pandemic.
