Another problem is said to have occurred with the Boeing 787 machine. The Wall Street Journal writes, citing “people familiar with the matter”, that the titanium components used in the past three years are weaker than assumed.
Boeing has been stretching for some time in a deep crisis, because both the Dreamliner and the 737 Max suffered or are suffering from production defects. After two fatal crashes, the medium-haul jet even received a worldwide flight ban, which has still not been lifted by all states.
The aircraft manufacturer has been unable to deliver Dreamliners for a few months. It is currently not foreseeable how long the condition will last. The production rate has already been reduced and Boeing promises the Wall Street Journal that they have made progress in improving production.
