The Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss is tightening the tone when it comes to compulsory vaccinations for flight personnel. Now there is an open threat that people who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 will have to expect termination at the end of January 2022.
Among other things, a spokesman for Swiss said: "If we do not meet the mandatory vaccination requirements, we are forced to take measures due to the breach of duty in accordance with the collective labor agreement (GAV)".
However, this step should not be taken without warning, because it is also offered that the employment relationship can be suspended for six months in order to make a decision. This is unpaid leave, so that there is no wage entitlement during this time. If individual Swiss employees cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, individual solutions will be sought for them.
