The Greeks are working hard to revive tourism in the country.
The vaccination campaigns in the European Union are progressing slowly in some cases. So did the debate about possible benefits that vaccinated people could expect after the vaccine. This was namely postponed again. In the case of Israel and Greece, however, things should go very quickly. Representatives of both countries agreed in Jerusalem yesterday to allow vaccinated citizens to travel between states without any conditions. As soon as the flight restrictions are lifted. The basis of the agreement is the mutual recognition of so-called "green vaccination passports", reports the ORF. With this, the two government leaders make their point of view clear: Vaccinated people should be given preferential treatment and exempt from applicable restrictions, while those who do not get vaccinated should continue to face restrictions. Within the EU, however, the discussions about possible advantages are not ending - but no clear direction is yet apparent. The possible lifting of travel restrictions for people with vaccinations remains a controversial issue.
