The airline Latam, which is under bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11, has more time to present a restructuring plan. The New York court granted the company's motion and extended the deadline to June 30, 2021.

As a result of the corona pandemic, the Chilean airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States. The redevelopment plan should actually have been in place by the end of January 2021, but Latam was able to make it credible that more time is needed due to the current unclear situation for the entire industry.

In the run-up, there was resistance from some creditors to the request. They wanted to achieve a maximum extension of 120 days. However, the court followed the airline's request. According to the latest information, the restructuring plan must be accepted by the creditors by August 23, 2021. This must first be presented to the trial judge.
