United Airlines creates facts in the matter of mandatory vaccination and has issued a notice of termination to around 600 employees who did not want to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and who also do not fall under a medical exception.
The company management informed the employees, among other things, that the decision was "incredibly difficult", but that they would act in the interests of safety. However, those affected are given one last chance: those who have been terminated are invited to one-on-one interviews and can save their jobs if they can prove that they have been vaccinated in the meantime.
In Europe, the Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss is beginning to enforce the internally prescribed mandatory vaccination. Here, too, there is a risk of aircrew who refuse to the expulsion. Another European airline that requires vaccination against Covid-19 is Wizz Air. However, no terminations are known for this carrier.
