The German holiday airline tried to take action against the planned code sharing between Eurowings Discover and other members of the Lufthansa Group in the United States of America. The entry was not successful.
The news magazine "Der Spiegel" quotes the US Department of Transportation as saying that it does not see any disadvantage for US consumers. Condor had argued, among other things, that these could be disadvantaged.
The holiday airline and its former parent company Lufthansa have been fighting a legal battle for a long time, which had its origin in the fact that the crane wanted to terminate an ancient contract for feeder flights. Condor was unsuccessful with the latest complaint to the DOT, so that the competing group can also place the codes of Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss and Lufthansa on the Eurowings Discover flights. This presupposes that the relevant permits are also issued in Europe.
