The Spanish low-cost airline Volotea will also be using two Airbus A18s operated by SmartLynx from June 2021, 320 as part of a wet lease agreement. The carrier expects high demand and is therefore increasing its capacity.

Volotea separated from the just a few weeks ago last aircraft of the type Boeing 717. As a replacement, the fleet of Airbus A319s began a long time ago. In the middle of the crisis, the Spanish low-cost airline decided to add at least 15 used A320s to its fleet. The first units are already in the air in the colors of Volotea.

SmartLynx also rents two Airbus A320s. According to CH-Aviation.com, a machine is to be stationed in Nantes. The other is to be used from Venice. The agreement runs until at least September 5, 2021. The fleet operated by Volotea currently consists of 20 Airbus A319s and seven A319s.
