Go against the trend with e-learning

While more and more aircraft are being parked around the world due to the pandemic, many airlines are currently using the opportunities for further training for their workforce. In the area of e-learning in particular, a strong development against the actual trend can be observed; customers who have been reluctant to date are currently opting for appropriate software solutions. The expert forge for such e-learning technology is Infowerk Medien & Technik GmbH from Innsbruck, which is now awarding this year's regional victory from Der Presse, KSV1870 and PwC Austria Awards from Austria's Leading Companies for companies up to EUR 10 million in sales.

Winning one of the most important business awards in Austria is a further milestone in the more than 25-year history of the company, which started in 1994 with the development of e-learning learning software, especially for the aviation industry. With the appropriate know-how, Infowerk is constantly expanding its portfolio, specializing in online-based training and further education tools for professional pilots and aircraft technicians. In the aviation sector, well-known companies are now among the Tyrolean customers, such as Aeronautx, Air Greenland, Austrian Airlines, Avantiair, Cargolux, Condor, Eurowings, Globe Air, LOT, Lufthansa, Peoples, South African, SunExpress, Swiss, Wideroe or Zimex. Even Boeing, Embraer and RUAG already trust products from Innsbruck. If a slump was expected at the beginning of the corona pandemic, things turned out very differently. “There are only two handful of specialists like us here in the world, and the boom in small business jets means that we are currently gaining a lot of new customers. Asia in particular is picking up again ”, Infowerk Managing Director Roland Gatt told Die Presse.

In addition to software solutions for aviation, Infowerk relies on other pillars in the field of media technology. Not only do they develop learning software for railway companies, airports or driving schools, but also equip seminar and conference rooms for well-known national and international companies. For Gatt, the challenge is: “Finding solutions that work for the offline and online world. What is still a team office today can be a high-quality web conference room tomorrow with our mobile communication systems. "
