The start of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi had to be postponed again last year due to the corona pandemic. But now they want to significantly increase the pace of expansion and want to take up additional routes, primarily to former Soviet countries.

In the first step, the destinations Sarajevo and Odessa were reactivated. These are served twice a week from the capital of the United Arab Emirates. From October 31, 2021, the destination Muscat will be served three times a week.

Four more goals are to follow in December 2021. Yerevan and Kutaisi are scheduled for December 15, 2021. From December 17, 2021, it should go to Almaty and Baku. Sohag follows a day later. The aforementioned cities are each to be served twice a week.

Nur-Sultan is announced for the year 2022 from January 16, 2021 and Salala from March 30, 2021. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi also intends to head for these destinations twice a week initially. The carrier's fleet currently consists of four Airbus A321neo.
