The low-cost airline Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will take off for the first time on Friday. The premiere flight leads from Abu Dhabi to Athens. The lowcoster also wants to benefit from normalized relations between the United Emirates and Israel. In the future, the carrier will also fly between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv.

The Abu Dhabi offshoot will fly for the first time between the capitals of Greece and the United Arab Emirates on Friday, January 15, 2021. A non-stop connection between Abu Dhabi and Thessaloniki will follow on February 4, 2021. Other announced routes are Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan. According to Carrier, these are to be added "in the next few months". The Wizz Air Abu Dhabi fleet currently consists of two Airbus A320neo. The newly announced route between the UAE capital and Tel Aviv is to be flown for the first time on February 12, 2021.
