Between March 14 and 25, 2022, the periodic measurement flights to check the navigation systems will take place at Zurich Airport. Flights take place both in the afternoon and at night, up to XNUMX a.m. at the latest.

During this period, the instrument landing systems (ILS and GBAS) on the various runways and the Kloten rotary radio beacon (VOR KLO) will be tested with a measuring aircraft. According to Zurich Airport, some of the measuring flights will take place in the afternoon and at night, after normal flight operations have ended, by 350 a.m. at the latest. A Beechcraft King Air XNUMX twin-engine propeller aircraft is used for the measurement flights. Skyguide air traffic control is responsible for planning and operating the flights.
