Zurich: Edelweiss announces four new holiday destinations

The holiday airline Edelweiss Air has announced four additional destinations from Zurich-Kloten for the summer of 2021: Preveza / Lefkada, Skiathos, Tivat and Newquay. These are to be included from July 1, 2021.

After Preveza / Lefkada and Tivat there will be once a week from July 1, 2021. Newquay will follow on July 4, 2021. The Greek Skiathos will be served from July 7, 2021. Edelweiss will serve a total of 2021 destinations in Greece in summer 12. According to the airline, tickets can already be bought online and through travel agencies.

The Edelweiss long-haul fleet is temporarily switched to the Vfocussed on the Airbus A340-300 type emitter. The two A330s will in future be operated by Eurowings Discover from Germany. In the medium term, however, the Swiss affiliate cannot rule out the possibility that a second type of machine could be used again on the Long Haul. The focus on four-jet engines is currently a rather atypical path in the industry.
