After a very challenging first half of the year with low traffic and passenger numbers due to the pandemic, a recovery began in the second half of the year. Nevertheless, Flughafen Zürich AG is not paying a dividend this year.

The 2022 Annual General Meeting of Flughafen Zürich AG focused on the business results for 2021 and current developments in the current financial year. After a challenging first half of 2021 with low passenger and traffic numbers, there were signs of a recovery in the second half of the year. As a result, Flughafen Zürich AG was able to achieve a positive result in the second half of 2021 and reduce the consolidated loss to a total of CHF 10 million. Flughafen Zürich AG announced this in a press release, which also announced that it had already decided not to pay out this year's dividend.

All members of the Board of Directors standing for re-election, Corinne Mauch, Guglielmo Brentel, Josef Felder, Stephan Gemkow and Andreas Schmid (Chairman), were re-elected for a further year. The representatives of the canton delegated by the government council of the canton of Zurich are Carmen Walker Späh, director of economics responsible for the airport dossier, as well as Eveline Saupper and Vincent Albers.

In a year the airport will have a new board president

As previously communicated, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Andreas Schmid, has decided not to stand for re-election at the 2023 Annual General Meeting and to resign from the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG at that time. The designated successor is Josef Felder, a long-standing member of the Board of Directors and former CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG.
