Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport has had to record a sharp decline in all areas due to the corona pandemic. Management expects that around 3,2 million passengers will be counted by the end of the year.

This means that the largest airport in the German state of Baden-Württemberg is 75 percent below the previous year's figure. In 2021, the record year 2019 with more than 12 million passengers will not even come close. Around six million travelers are forecast. This year, Stuttgart will make a loss for the first time in many years. According to the current prospects, this will be in the double-digit million range.
