From Sunday, the United States of America will no longer require a negative corona test upon entry. The health authority CDC said that this is no longer necessary as they have "entered a new phase" due to the availability of treatment options and increased immunity.
A negative corona test has not been required overland from Mexico and Canada for some time. Now this is also being extended to air transport, coming from all countries. So far, regardless of the vaccination status, you had to present a negative cornate test that was carried out the day before departure.
Within the United States, there was considerable public pressure from airlines, airports, hotels and tourism companies aimed at abolishing the test submission requirement. This was apparently successful, because the CDC announced the end on Friday. Masks are no longer required to be worn on board commercial aircraft in the United States. The scheme was overturned by a federal court.
