France severely restricts entry from Great Britain because of the Omicron variant of the corona virus that is rampant there.

Entry from and exit to Great Britain is only possible from midnight on Saturday for compelling overriding reasons, as reported by ORF. Tourist or professional reasons are not included. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people must register before traveling from the UK to France, take a PCR or rapid test and, upon arrival in France, be quarantined at a location of their choice. You can leave this after 0.00 hours after a negative test.

The Prime Minister announced the establishment of controls to monitor the operations. People who have planned a trip to the UK have been asked to postpone it. French nationals and family members can return at any time subject to the registration, testing and quarantine rules.
