There seems to be a lot of disagreement among the shareholders of Klagenfurt Airport about the content of the latest general assembly. The office of Provincial Councilor Martin Gruber (ÖVP) announced that they had agreed on a long-term plan and investments amounting to 28 million euros. Majority owner Lilihill denies this and even calls on the state council to withdraw this information.

Klagenfurt is majority owned by the Lilihill Group. This cannot at all share the content of the media declaration by the ÖVP regional council and emphasizes that only the appointment of two further managing directors and an auditor was decided. The airport budget would only have been approved for 2021, but not for the following years.

The media release from Provincial Councilor Gruber would “in no way correspond to the facts”, according to Lilihill. It is also pointed out that the investment of 28 million euros was neither an item on the agenda, nor was it discussed. A correction is now being demanded from the minority shareholders in the public sector. The Carinthian provincial government did not want to comment on this matter.
