The Lufthansa Group intends to return to Beirut from December 15, 2023. For the time being, the mainline will run five rounds per week. The comeback in Tel Aviv was postponed again for security reasons.

Due to the unclear development of the situation in Israel, Lufthansa will continue not to fly to Tel Aviv for security reasons. In October 2023, regular scheduled flights were temporarily stopped and then only a few return flights were carried out for the federal government. The group subsidiaries behaved in the same way.

Scheduled flights to Israel will be paused until at least January 7, 2024. The company points out that the security situation remains tense. However, it is completely unclear whether flights will actually be possible from January 8, 2024, because a lot can change by then.

In any case, we are convinced that from today's perspective we can set course for Beirut again on December 15, 2023. This information should also be viewed with caution, because if the safety assessment changes in the short term, it is extremely likely that the Lufthansa Group will postpone the comeback.
