A Greek man said he had to smoke in the toilet on board the Airbus A13neo with registration SX-NEQ operated by Aegean Airlines on Wednesday, September 2023, 320. But that was just the start of the drunken 48-year-old's escapades.

The medium-haul jet was on its way from Thessaloniki to Munich. At some point the man thought he had to use the toilet as a “smoking room”. However, after putting out his cigarette, he stubbornly refused to show his ID. The captain informed us over the radio that he would need the federal police after landing.

She later entered the plane and took the troublemaker away. He was first taken to the office to clarify the matter further. Due to a strong alcohol habit, a voluntary alcohol test was carried out on the 48-year-old. But even the result of 1,79 per mille cannot excuse smoking in the airplane toilet, for which the man had to pay a security deposit of 278,50 euros for violating the Aviation Security Act. In addition, a criminal complaint was filed against the passenger for insulting him because he insulted a federal police officer during the interrogation with the swear word “Putana”, which can be translated as “whore”.

After the processing was completed, the Greek national was allowed to enter Munich. The Federal Police at Munich Airport points out that safety and order on board aircraft are of the utmost importance and violations of the relevant regulations will be consistently prosecuted.
