The holiday airline Discover Airlines will fly to a total of 2024 destinations from Munich in the 23 summer flight schedule. Up to 70 departures per week are planned. While last year they flew on behalf of Lufthansa, this year they will use their own 4Y code.
Five Airbus A320 medium-haul jets will gradually be stationed at Germany's largest airport. Discover Airlines uses Terminal 2 in Munich, which is also used by parent company Lufthansa and numerous Star Alliance members. At peak times, the five Airbus A320s mentioned above will operate from the Bavarian airport to a total of 23 destinations.
“We look forward to taking off from Munich again this summer and expanding our presence at this important hub. “We are thus complementing the Lufthansa Group’s offering in Munich and offering travelers even more choice – even to holiday destinations that were previously not accessible by direct flight,” explains Bernd Bauer, CEO of Discover Airlines.
With eleven weekly routes, Discover Airlines most frequently flies to Ibiza from Munich. Directly behind them are Palma de Mallorca, Heraklion and Chania, each with nine rounds per week. In Greece, Discover Airlines will fly to a total of eleven destinations, to which 30 flights will be offered weekly. Also on the program: Bodrum, Kefalonia, Varna, Marrakech and Samos. Hurghada and Funchal will also be served in late summer 2024.
