The city of Vienna will open a second corona test center on Thursday, in which residents of the capital of Austria can be tested for a possible Covid-19 infection free of charge. According to the city hall correspondence, this will be built on the Danube Island.

Originally, the drive and walk-in test streets in front of the Ernst Happel football stadium were put into operation for those returning to travel. In the meantime, the access has been massively softened, so that the group of people who are entitled to free use is extremely large. For example, contact with a returnee is now sufficient.

Since the population obviously accepts the offer extremely well, you can expect hours of waiting in front of the Ernst Happel Stadium at times. For this reason, a second test center, which can also be used in the form of drive and walk-in, is being opened near the Floridsdorfer Bridge on the Danube Island. The requirements for using free PCR tests are exactly the same as for the Ernst Happel Stadium.
