In the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, Austrian Airlines will offer non-stop flights between Klagenfurt and Hamburg for a short period of time. This route will be operated on Saturdays from January 13, 2024 to March 2, 2024 inclusive.

"The introduction of a direct flight connection from Klagenfurt to Hamburg in our route network represents significant progress for Klagenfurt Airport. We are pleased to expand our route network with this attractive connection and to offer our guests an even broader travel experience," says AUA-CCO Michael Trestl.

Maximilian Wildt, who has been Managing Director at Klagenfurt Airport since the beginning of July, emphasizes the significance of these flights: "We are delighted with Austrian's proven trust in the airport, the Carinthian market and the incoming potential of our catchment area. In addition to securing and expanding the hub connection to Vienna, which is enormously important for us, it is of course also our declared goal, in the next step, to connect Klagenfurt directly to Hamburg and other destinations all year round".
