Austrian Airlines wants to market the four Airbus A320neos that will join the fleet from August 2022 as so-called “climate ambassadors”. The company is looking for suggestions for baptismal names "to underline their role as climate ambassadors".

A circular signed by the board members Michael Trestl and Francesco Sciortino states: “The new A320neos should therefore be flying ambassadors for our responsibility towards the environment and for the innovative spirit in our company".

Austrian Airlines employees have until March 31, 2022 to submit their suggestions for the names of the four Airbus A320neo. You can read about this among other things. "Your ideas are needed: What names should the four newcomers be given to underline their role as climate ambassadors? (...) Please make sure that the names are internationally understandable. All ideas are collected and then evaluated by an internal jury”.
