The Verdi union and the management of Easyjet in Germany have agreed on wage increases and one-off payments for flight attendants and pilots. These will take effect from autumn 2022.

According to a statement by the employee representatives, the German Easyjet pilots will receive one-off payments of between 1.125 and 3.000 euros in October of this year. At the same time, the monthly salaries are initially being offered by 2,5 percent. Another one-off payment of up to EUR 2023 is to be paid out in April 1.500. The remuneration will then be increased again by 2,5 percent. The third salary increase is three percent and is scheduled to take effect in October 2023.

In October of this year, flight attendants will receive one-time payments of up to 4.500 euros. At the same time, wages will be increased by five percent. In April 2023, salaries will increase again by 3,2 percent. The collective agreement, which both sides have confirmed, runs until March 2024.

"We know that this is a difficult time for our employees and we are concentrating on working closely with Verdi in the interests of our employees, the long-term success of the company and to secure jobs in the long term," says Germany boss Stephan Erler.

However, the one announced by Easyjet is not off the table Downsizing of the Berlin-Brandenburg base. For the 2022/23 winter flight schedule, the number of aircraft stationed on site is to be reduced again. They also want to cut around 275 employees.
