Longview Aviation Capital now markets all aviation products under the traditional de Havilland Aircraft of Canada name. So far, this has only been used for the Dash 8 series.
The company acquired the lion's share of Bombardier's turboprop portfolio in several separate steps. The latter company swallowed up de Havilland Canada many years ago and ceased using the trademark. It made a comeback after Longview took over the Dash 8 series.
Now the DHC-6-400 Twin Otter and all other machines for which one has the rights are to be marketed as de Havilland Aircraft of Canada. The portfolio owned by Longview also includes the DHC-1, DHC-2, DHC-3, DHC-4, DHC-5, and Dash 7, Canadair CL-215, CL-415, Shorts 330, Shorts 360, and Sherpa .
