
Westjet has Leap-1B engines serviced by Lufthansa Technik
The Canadian airline WestJet and Lufthansa Technik have signed a billion-dollar contract for the maintenance of aircraft engines. As part of this agreement, Lufthansa Technik will maintain the LEAP-1B engines of WestJet's Boeing 737 fleet. Maintenance work is scheduled to begin in 2027. WestJet had already commissioned Lufthansa Technik to maintain its CFM2022-56B engines in February 7.
