In the coming week, the City Airport Train will start operating again after a standstill of around two years. From March 29, 2022, the private railway company will grant holders of the ÖBB Vorteilscard and the Wiener Linien annual ticket a price reduction of 50 percent.

The climate ticket, on the other hand, is valid on the City Airport Train still not. Likewise, there is no price reduction on presentation of the annual network card, which was created by Transport Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens).

“We are very pleased that, thanks to the cooperation with Wiener Linien and ÖBB, we will be able to offer the people of Vienna this special offer when we resume operations on March 29th. This means, for example, that a journey purchased online as part of a return ticket only costs €4,75,” say CAT managing directors Christoph Korherr and Michael Forstner. “With the new pricing, we want to convince our passengers of the advantages, services and additional benefits of the City Airport Train. When, after many challenging months, it is time to travel and relax again, you can consciously treat yourself to a premium service at an attractive price.”
