Vaccination obligation: Swiss announces first unvaccinated flight attendants

The Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss is now making the announcement of mandatory vaccinations for flying personnel, because the first unvaccinated employees have already been dismissed.

Most recently, the carrier had to deal with a shortage of flight attendants and also offered to reinstate employees who had been laid off in the wake of the corona pandemic. They are tough when it comes to enforcing the company's obligation to vaccinate.

A Swiss spokesman confirmed to “20 Minuten” that last week the first flight attendants received their notices of termination at the end of April 2022. The background is that they should not have met the deadline for submitting the vaccination certificates. According to Swiss, only a few of the pilots and cabin crew should have refused the Covid vaccinations.
