DHL Air Austria is in the air

The cargo airline DHL Air (Austria) GmbH recently received AOC and an operating license. The OE-LNZ was the first cargo connection from Budapest, Hungary.

The aircraft mentioned at the beginning is a Boeing 757-200, which was last used by the sister company in the United Kingdom. The OE-LNZ has the serial number 32398 and was previously registered as G-DHKP.

DHL Air Austria is a subsidiary of the logistics group Deutsche Post-DHL and was only founded this year. The new offshoot is currently also looking for employees.

If anyone cares: DHL Austria's ICAO 3-Letter Code will be DHA and the radio call sign “Yellowtail”. For the time being, the DHA machines in the group will be “loaned out” to Eurotrans, Leipzig and will operate under their flight numbers. So it will take a while before DHA will do its laps as Yellowtail (I guess until the summer flight schedule).
