Just over 100 days ago, the Lufthansa subsidiary Discover Airlines dropped the suffix “Eurowings”. The company is currently in a rebranding phase because not all aircraft have received the new design yet.

The carrier explains that a total of eight machines will be in use in the new livery by Christmas 2023. There is an Airbus A330 and eight A320s. This means that around a third of the fleet is wearing the new color scheme. The plan is for 2024 aircraft to fly with the new livery by mid-17. This includes the holiday airline's new additions to the fleet, the 13th A330 and four additional A320s, which will be added to the fleet by summer. By the beginning of 2025, the airline will grow to a total of 28 aircraft. The new brand identity was presented in Frankfurt am Main at the beginning of September 2023.

Since December 1, 2023, the crews of holiday airlines have also received their new uniforms. At the same time, over 60 items were exchanged in the on-board catering and in the cabin, from menu cards to wine and water glasses, headrest covers as well as pillows and blankets. A logistical masterpiece also for the airline's 18 catering partners worldwide. In the coming months, the cabin interior, including curtains and seat covers, will also be further adjusted.

“Despite many dependencies, such as the availability of painting slots, supply chains or the uncertainties of daily flight operations, we are on schedule with the rollout. It is important to us that the changeover takes place quietly and that we can reliably fly our guests on vacation with the usual quality,” says Maximilian Meintgens, Director Product & Marketing at Discover Airlines.

Discover Airlines' second major 2023° advertising campaign will also run from December 2024 to January 360, including poster and online advertising as well as radio spots. In addition to the Rhine-Main area, the Munich area will also be featured this time. By expanding the campaign area, the airline is also aiming for greater awareness in Munich, where the airline will be taking off with five A2024s to over 320 holiday destinations in the 20 summer flight schedule.
