Low-cost airline Wizz Air is reducing traffic towards Kosovo, Bosnia, Slovenia, Serbia and North Macedonia. A total of six routes will be temporarily suspended. Flights from Germany are also affected.

Just a few days ago, the low coster announced that due to staff shortages at various airports, but also at the airline itself, the offer would be reduced. Flights from Hungary and the United Kingdom are primarily affected, but some routes from Pristina, Tuzla, Ljubljana, Belgrade and Ohrid are also affected.

For example, the low-cost airline is temporarily suspending flights from Dortmund and Rome to Pristina. According to the current information status, these are to be reactivated on September 2, 2022 and October 2, 2022 respectively. From Milan there will be no flights to Tuzla until October 30, 2022.

The Ljubljana-Charleroi route, which is to be paused until September 4, 2022, is also affected. From Belgrade, the route to Billund will not be served until the end of October 2022. From Dortmund you will also temporarily not head for Ohrid. This route is expected to remain closed until September 2, 2022.

Further changes and cancellations are possible as the airline struggles with staff shortages and high levels of cabin crew sick leave amid a new wave of coronavirus infections in Europe. Affected passengers should be contacted by Wizz Air.

"Overall, we expect to reduce peak season occupancy by an additional 5 percent from the plan we presented as part of the annual review to mitigate the impact of ongoing external disruptions," the carrier said.
