Düsseldorf Airport celebrated the comeback of the Airbus A380 machine type on Saturday. Coming from Dubai, a super jumbo landed for the first time in around 1,5 years at the largest airport in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

“Before Corona”, the Airbus A380 was a regular guest in Düsseldorf. From March 2020, this ended until October 23, 2021. Emirates has now returned with the superjumbo and naturally attracted attention.

Emirates is the world's largest A380 operator. The last three copies produced will go to this carrier. The group announced that it will take over this in the course of November 2021. Emirates has been flying to Düsseldorf since July 1, 2015 with this type of aircraft, which can now be seen more often in North Rhine-Westphalia.
