A few weeks ago it was announced that this business area would also be expanded to Switzerland, where it has a subsidiary airline with its own AOC. But it doesn't stop there, because people in the Federal Republic also want to sell their own package holidays in the future.

Although the managing director made a clear commitment to Germany and the base that is maintained at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, he criticized the high airport fees in the Federal Republic. “We experienced a record summer across our network this year, despite a challenging operational environment. Our commitment to the capital region is clear: EasyJet is Berlin's home airline! But even though we have managed a successful turnaround at BER, we have to acknowledge that the costs of the German aviation industry are still unpleasantly high. We have seen significant increases in air traffic taxes, air traffic control and security levies, and overall high infrastructure costs. These issues are at the top of our agenda,” said Lundgren.
