The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has received type certification from the Chinese Civil Aviation Authority for the E195-E2 aircraft. This follows the certification of the E190-E2, which took place about a year ago.
The Brazilians believe that the Chinese market has great sales potential. Efforts have therefore been made to get the E2 models approved as quickly as possible. This certification aligns with growth projections for the Asia-Pacific region, including China, which is expected to see air travel grow by 4,4% annually over the next two decades.
Embraer's involvement in China has the backing of both the Chinese and Brazilian governments, and the company remains optimistic about its prospects in the region.
