South Africa, the first country to be overtaken by the omicron wave, is making it easier for vaccinated people to enter the country. In the future, they will no longer have to submit a negative PCR test. Proof of the third vaccination is not necessary, as two stitches are sufficient.

However, nothing will change for the unvaccinated and those who have recovered. They must still be able to show a negative PCR result at the entry check, which must not be older than 72 hours. This rule applies to everyone over the age of five. There are exceptions below.
