Indonesia is now allowing fully vaccinated people to enter the country without quarantine. Previously, a test run had been held since March 7, 2022 on the island of Bali accomplished. According to the Ministry of Tourism, this went well, so that the entry rules are now being extended to the entire state.
In concrete terms, this means that quarantine is no longer necessary if proof of vaccination is presented. However, you have to complete a mandatory PCR test upon arrival. Separation does not have to be started. However, if the test is positive, the local health authorities will take the necessary measures in the individual case.
With regard to the issuance of visas, it should be noted that Austrians cannot currently use the visa-on-arrival program. This is explicitly suspended for Austria. The Swiss and Germans are not affected. The regulation also applies to the island of Bali, which is popular with holidaymakers.
