The Slovak Republic will simplify the entry requirements effective April 6, 2022. Those who have not been vaccinated will then no longer have to go into quarantine. There is also no need to fill out the electronic PLF form.
So far, people who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 have been subject to a five-day quarantine. This became effective from the age of 12. You could only be freed from the isolation if you had a PCR test carried out in a Slovakian laboratory – at your own expense – immediately after entering the country. You had to go into quarantine until you received the results.
This practice is now falling because, according to a statement from the Slovakian Ministry of Health, from April 6, 2022, all people – including those who have not been vaccinated – will be allowed to enter the country without quarantine. The previously required electronic PLF form will also be abolished.
Within Slovakia, the mask requirement will be relaxed. This only remains in public transport, inside publicly accessible buildings and at mass events such as concerts. If necessary, this can also apply outdoors in the latter case.
