Eurowings is getting a new Chief Operating Officer in Edi Wolfensberger. He succeeds Jens Ritter, who will switch to Lufthansa and will replace the former Tyrolean Managing Director Klaus Froese.

Wolfensberger is currently working as COO for the sister company Brussels Airlines and is to take over this function at Eurowings as soon as possible. In the future, the management will consist of Jens Bischof, Kai Duve and Edi Wolfensberger.

Jens Ritter will act as CEO of Lufthansa Airlines from April 1, 2022, succeeding Klaus Froese, who will fly as a captain in the future. The last-named manager worked for six years on the executive board. In the past he was at the head of the now defunct Austrian Airlines subsidiary Tyrolean Airways.
