The Bernina Herb Express takes guests from Chur/Tiefencastel or St. Moritz to Le Prese, where they can immerse themselves in the herbal world of Valposchiavo. During the journey to Le Prese, passengers can get in the mood for the herb world with an organic herbal tea and at the same time experience the RhB UNESCO World Heritage Site up close.

The offer in Le Prese includes a 100% Valposchiavo lunch at the Raselli Sporthotel and a guided tour through the herb fields and production site of the Raselli Erboristeria Biologica. The journey can be continued in the afternoon or the following day with the Bernina Express or individually with the regional trains. The offer can be booked from June 10th to October 28th, 2022 on Fridays for single travelers. The Bernina Herb Express is now also available for groups (at least 5 people) from Thursday to Saturday.

Bernina Express – From the glaciers to the palm trees

High up to the glistening glaciers and back down to the palm trees - a trip on the Bernina Express is a unique experience. The parade train of the Rhaetian Railway not only connects the north and the south: the train meanders as a red thread through the three language regions of Graubünden to Italy and makes the unique encounter of nature and culture in the Albula/Bernina landscape directly tangible - UNESCO World Heritage included . The panoramic train masters 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and gradients of up to 70 per mille with ease and without gears: Wildly romantic valleys, fascinating glacier worlds and a touch of Italianità - everything is included in this multi-faceted journey in a class of its own.

Valposchiavo – Sustainably impressive

The Valposchiavo lies hidden behind the seven mountains, in the south-eastern tip of Graubünden, away from the large tourist streams. Only 25 km as the crow flies separate the glaciers of the Bernina massif from the palm trees at the end of the valley near Campocologno. Sustainability is a top priority in the Valposchiavo: over 90% of the agricultural area is cultivated and maintained by Bio-Suisse-certified companies. Most of the local agricultural products are processed directly on site: milk, meat, cereals, herbs, fruit and berries are processed in the valley to make cheese, sausages, pasta, tea, fruit juices and jams. To ensure that these first-class products find their way onto the guests' plates, 13 restaurants have joined forces and signed the "Charta 100% Valposchiavo". In doing so, they undertake to give local specialties a very special place on their menus. What could be better than enjoying good food where it comes from!
