From the end of March 2024, Singapore Airlines will again be heading daily for Frankfurt am Main with the Airbus A380 aircraft type. The carrier justifies the decision with the continued strong demand. Frequencies will also be increased on some other routes.

This includes the reintroduction of daily A380 services between Singapore and Frankfurt, the use of wide-body A350-900s on medium-haul routes to Cairns and Male, the resumption of direct flights between Singapore and Barcelona, and an increase in flight frequencies to or above pre-pandemic levels on different routes.

Destinations that will reach or exceed pre-pandemic levels include Ahmedabad (India), Beijing and Shanghai (China), Copenhagen (Denmark), Da Nang (Vietnam), Darwin, Melbourne and Perth (Australia), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Tokyo-Haneda (Japan), Seattle and Houston (United States of America).

Alastair Hay-Campbell, General Manager Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Singapore Airlines said: “We are delighted to welcome the A380 back to Frankfurt due to strong booking demand. With the release of the Singapore Airlines Summer 2024 Timetable, all of our customers can start planning their travel now. Our passengers can enjoy the comfort of the A380 superjumbo while having greater choice and flexibility when traveling with us as we continue to adapt and expand our network as demand evolves."
