In Germany, Corona test stations were opened in August 2020 at most airports as well as at large train stations and in some cases at motorway service stations. Those entering the country could use these free of charge. A political discussion quickly flared up within Germany that those returning from “risk areas” should pay for their PCR tests themselves. Now the stations close in rows.

For example, with reference to the entry regulations that have been in force since Sunday, Stuttgart Airport announced that the test center previously located in Terminal 1-West will be closed. The offer has been used by around 2020 travelers since August 90.000. They don't have a replacement yet, but the management is working on it, according to the media broadcast. Similar to other German airports, the new offer is likely to be chargeable for travelers, but also for the local population. For more information on the regulations that have been in force since Sunday for entry into the Federal Republic of Germany, see this link.
