On Monday, the German Economic Stabilization Fund (WSF) gave the green light for state aid to the Lufthansa subsidiaries Brussels Airlines, Swiss and Austrian Airlines. Now the AUA will receive a grant of 150 million euros from the Republic of Austria.

Another 300 million euros are to be paid out in the form of state-guaranteed loans in three tranches of 100 million euros each. In July 2020, Deutsche Lufthansa AG transferred a grant of 150 million euros to the ailing subsidiary in Austria. According to reports, however, there are already talks about a possible increase in the loan volume.
